Grapevine Diseases

Panels Offered:

Finding grapevine diseases early in the planting season helps growers decide what steps to take next. Proper diagnostics of the problem can help find cost-effective solutions and helps maintain crop health for years to come. AL&L offers a variety of virus panels from the most extensive Wide Screen (popular among nurseries to check their stock) or the Short panel (which offers a more focused look into the most devastating of viruses for crops and yields) to individual testing for certain viruses. Our lab tests for pathogens using mainly qPCR and ELISA. Bacterial and fungal diseases are grown out on culture plates.

We are certified to test vineyards for GRBaV (Red Blotch) for the TAP program. For more information on the TAP Program, please contact your local FSA representative about sampling requirements or click here for further details.

(Test panels are flexible and may include any combinations of assays for specific testing needs)
