Sampling of Alfalfa Hay for GMO and Verticillium testing

Statistically good hay sample consists of at least 30 cores and weighs about 1/2 lb (up to 200g). This size of sample should fit in a quart size zip lock bag. Please use thicker type of plastic to prevent hay punching through the bag. Seal the bag properly and label it with the stack ID that you want to use (the same as it appears on your paperwork for USDA).
