AL&L Crop Solutions is a USDA approved lab that can handle your virus testing needs for the TAP Program. The Tree Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial assistance to qualifying orchardists and nursery tree growers to replant or rehabilitate eligible trees, bushes and vines damaged by natural disasters- including Red Blotch or GRBaV.
TAP is administered by the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), so if you are concerned about your orchard and suspect red blotch, contact your local FSA office to find out the specifics for your county and how many vines you need to collect and send your samples to our lab for testing.
Each county has their own rules in regards to the type of sampling permitted (for example some counties allow for composite samples, other require individual vines), so make sure to talk to an FSA representative about the specifics for your vineyard.
